While working with Kelley Blue Book as a Sr Visual Designer in the mobile applications department. They had a plans to promote their legacy services at the 2014 LA Auto Show. Audi who has been a national partner for years, struck an agreement to showcase the new Audi A8 but wanted to introduce an idea of a 360 immersive application for convention goers to get a closer look at its new features. For this project the visual design and experience was the easy part, just kidding. Before I could put my hands on it there were 45 data sets needed to fuel this speck heavy iPad app. Working with data engineers we picked text abbreviations and condensed versions of headlines and labels before we could even move forward building the interface wireframes.
Along side a independent design agency based in Huston we went to work on the user experience diagrams constructing wireframes and strategy goals we needed to achieve at the end of this project. Audi provided us with plenty of images to work with so we were ready to start the design comps. After 3 rounds we settled on this light interface with hints of darker tones to enhance the pictures and and diagrams. A 360 view of the vehicle including a detailed view of the inside were showcased in interactive sliding panels. This project was shown at the 2011 LA Auto show in behalf of Audi.
