Attom Data is one of the largest real estate and property data licensing companies in the U.S. Working as creative director for a company named RealtyTrac I had the pleasure of meeting with the newly appointed CEO to see his vision of the companies future. The CEO and head of marketing informed me they had been discussing a re-brand of RealtyTrac. RealtyTrac started as a leading provider of home foreclosure data.
As the company progressed they find them selfs acquiring more and more sets of property related data to integrate in to the databases. There was also reports to show that the sales team was receiving a serge in requests for data sets not specifically real estate linked. Customers were looking for things like demographic and crime statistics. The challenge was to find a way to umbrella all of these data points under one branded structure. While considering newly acquired sets as well. This would open up new opportunity to expand their business products in to new markets.
Together we collaborated on a new brand architecture to represent clients interested various data sets. Speaking to all markets with an emphasis on real estate data. With input from department leaders, partners and upper management, helping with naming and mark decisions. The final name was chosen, Attom Data. The new mark was composed with a asymmetrical atom shape replacing circles with squares as a reference to their data elements.
The brand also included a chart mimicking the periodic table of elements altered to contain the Attom data elements. Containing abbreviations to represent current and additional data types. A new WordPress website and CMS were built to represent Attom Data’s new brand identity. A strategy was developed around Seo structuring and direct to sales. Web forms were then put in place to encourage user conversions. To kick off the new brand we had office and building signage created. Accompanied by office wall wrap designs. The designs are based around city locations and the data table of elements.Making the the Irvine and San Diego offices fully encompass the Attom brand experience.
